Billy Thomas is a principal character on Ally McBeal, portrayed by Gil Bellows.

Billy is a competent lawyer and very conservative guy. He's sexist and occasionally a good friend to some of his colleagues.
Story[]
Billy grew up with Ally and they first kissed as kids. They were together in high school and she followed him to Harvard Law where they stayed together for a year until Billy decided to move to Michigan after having met Georgia while visiting the school there.[1] He didn't tell Ally that, but used the importance of clerking in Michigan as a reason for the break-up. In 1996, Billy married Georgia. At his bachelor party, which was attended by Judge Dennis 'Happy' Boyle, there was a sex worker whom Billy slept with.[2]
