George McBeal is the husband of Jeannie McBeal, the father of Ally McBeal, and the grandfather of Maddie Harrington. She first appeared in the episode Troubled Water. He was portrayed by Tom Virtue in the "Pilot" and James Naughton starting in the episode "Heat Wave".
